Dear Dad,
It's been over twelve years since I've heard your voice. I miss it. Your baby girl has grown up so much in these years. I wanted to tell you about everything you've missed.
I made it as a paralegal. I'm working downtown and taking care of myself. I know you'd be so proud of me and tell everyone about your smart daughter!
I look for the good in every situation. Losing you opened my eyes to enjoying all the moments because life is too short. You would love my positive attitude.
You have a great nephew and niece. You would love playing with them and teasing them! You'd get them all riled up and then send them back with Meghan with a smirk on your face!
I met my true love and you would love him too. He takes good care of my heart dad. He protects me and makes me laugh. You'd be so proud to call him your future son-in-law.
Sherisse did a great job taking care of me all these years. Just like she promised you. I'm grateful for her. I know she misses you too.
I am working on my passion project and really letting myself shine and letting the world see and know the real Amber.
Thank you for raising me with all the love and support. For taking me fishing, cheering me on in every sports game, band concert and taking me to every football game. You gave me strength my whole life to know that I can BE and DO whatever I want. You were always my hero and idol. You worked so hard to support your family and I admired you always.
I wish you were here. We'd go to Cubs games, do wood working projects, eat nice steak dinners, play cards and travel together.
The world isn't the same without your laugh. I miss you dad.
I promise you though that I will always keep my head up and make sure you can see my smile.
Love,
Your Babygirl
